Not sure if I've submitted this before (and deleted it), but I've just learnt about the "Screen" layer mode in Photoshop which helped bring out more of the foreground.
I agree with rjvc, the dark blue tones give a lot of mood to the photo. Do you remember the how the shot was taken? Did you have a polarizer to get the blues this dark? What effect would a polarizer have on the sum beams poking through the cloulds? I'm fairly new to photography, and I've been reading a lot about filters, and wondering what, if anything, filters can do that photoshop can't. Great shot, cheers, Flammer
lovely shot, but personally I would have preferred more natural looking colour as I presume this was not true to nature, although the blue does make a stunning shot.
Thanks for the comments, appreciated. This shot was taken handheld with no filters on at all. The blue comes from the White Balance setting I had on the camera when I took it. I've then just adjusted the levels (and applied a screen layer).
