Lady & the Rose

Do you see the layering - ?
There's a rose and a reclining
model - plus her aged face &
her husbands also sculpted
into the shadows near her
head - Where the rose and her
lower back meet & interact -
it formed a scar - completely
accidental - It just happened!

This is about contrasting quickly fading outer beauty with the precious inner
strength that really matters, the kind of beauty that
leaves it's mark even overcoming our inborn ugliness.

I had a look at your website and was suitably impressed with the layout and of course the content. I'm afraid I cant say the same for this picture. To me it just looks like messing about with PS and the end result is just too messy. Maybe lose the crystal, the colours and lines are just too harsh.

Hi donmac,

I posted a b&w version for you... This is actually a concept for a fine arts
painting which I haven't yet found the time to undertake... I have a semi-
desaturated version and other lighting & color variations as well... It's an
abstract using realism - You really have to envision it as a 4x6 foot painting
to get it...

hi, sorry, the concept may be wonderful, but this is like picking up a huge book with small print and and indecipherable plot. You know you're never going to be bothered to read it. too may shapes, textures etc for my simple tastes started trying to look at it and read your text, but too much hard work.! the bigger version would just give a bigger headache! many apologies, I'm sure a lot of work and creativity went into this, but I just can't appreciate it.
