Beautiful idea. Well exposed photograph and really original point of view. The problem is the lower part... too much black area without nothing to be told there. If you'll just crop that part you'll have a really good job!. Well done!.
This is an exquisite photo. I assume you have submitted it for the Silhouettes competition, so the blackness doesn't bother me (silhouette is actually defined as one color in Webster's). The stillness of the reader against the frenzy of water is wonderful. Might have rated higher, but can see the whiteness of sharpened edges around the figure, esp. near the bottom of the book. Beautiful and original photo, nonetheless.
