I like the composition and subject. Personally i am not a fan of this highly sharpened style though there are a few masters of this image processing that can accomplish very moody portraits. I think the area leading up to the ear needs to be treated also as it creates a rather unnatural line on the side of the face. Still a very interesting subject. Looking forward to seeing more.
Truly love the colors and subject matter. You really should get him to pose for you again. One comment: on his right cheek, some of the area looks a bit soft (considering how sharp the area just above it is) as though it has been cloned over (and there is no stubble there). Point is, you have a great photo and need to camouflage any noticeable post-processing. Again, I like it a lot.
