Very nice composition, a lovely photo.
I do think the alter needs to be a bit shrper though especially the cross. Otherwise there is no real focal point in the photo.
Does this work or not?
I think your amendments have increased noise around the cross, personally I would just try to dodge the golden areas on the cross where the beam of light seems to hit, but in the shot does not reflect, to bring contrast similar to that of the point of the gold area above the head of the subject in the depiction...and around the circular 'dome' just below the cross. whaddya think??
that of course is if I wanted to be picky!! I think its a beautiful and well composed pic anyway!
I was being very picky myself janzark and I am not sure if my edit improved it or not. I like what you said about dodging the gold on the cross, we are talking about the one on the top of the alter? I didn't touch the other one.
This is such a great shot that really I am only trying to come up with a subtle imrpovement to it. Main thing I saw was the lack of sharpness.
I hope you don't mind abravorus. What do you think? It is your photo after all.
I have changed the previous one after reading your comment janzark. Cut all the area around the cross so it is the original. Previously I had erased it out as blend and maybe there was some noise from the sharpening.
A great photo as it stands. Its all about the light streaming through the window onto the cross. Jans dodging on the gold would look good. Really well composed and exposed.
