personally, I think that the top dark area of (riverbank?) dark does nothing for the composition and makes it too 'top heavy' exp as it is without texture or feature. removing (cropping) this would also bring the subject into the top 'thirds' of the shot and imho improve the overall effect and composition...

You are right about the cropping janzark. I went the other way and removed it from the bottom but both accomplish a better balance to move the dark center line to roughly the i/3 position.
It is a lovely shot wandalee.
