This is a beautiful portrait. Contrast is good, guitar a bit burnt out but I don't think it really detracts from the image.
I don't really like the red cup though.

Very good, like the blurred strumming hand and the selective colour.

thanks guys for your ratings and comments. The truth is I wasn´t too happy with the idea of the "colour touch", but I did it in a middle term (the cup was in a very vivid red) reducing the opacity of the cup. The guitar reflected the street light, I tryed to fix it without making too dark the rest of the scene.

Lovely Alex. Lose the red cup. At first glance I thought it was his false teeth. Smile

Gotta agree with above about the red cup, it distracts from the main subject which is powerfull all by itself.

I'm a sucker for candid "action" portraits like this; done well, they can tell an instant story. This one's good; it has a very New Orleans feel to it. But it should be all B&W; the colorized cup detracts from the main subject of the photo. I don't know whether to look at the cup or the guitarist, and the guitarist is far more interesting. (I'd rate it a 9, if it weren't for the cup.) --Brian

Hi Brian
I think you may be right about the color cup in the frame, I´ll re-edit the picture in all B/W to earn your 9 Smile
