Unreal! Yes, it's a shame about the foreground shadow, but it probably doesn't matter - something really different.

i saw some of these cows a couple of week ago on the Outer Hebridies, and they are not the most beautiful animals around. i'm really impressed by your shot and how nice these cows can look like.

thanks desertpea and Nerlin. This one was in the Peak District! quite a few miles south for these "highland cows". theres quite a few up on the edge and they are usually nice and calm, not minding posing for the camera.
