Interesting and the crop is quite good, a bit more radical than usual.
Quite refreshing.
In fact I would say that if this was a large image hanging along a wall it would be quite striking.
Only thins I see wrong with this, I am pretty sure you photoshoped the background to get the shallow depth of field, thats fine, but I see a fringe around the bird. If you did it's easily fixed by zooming in and triming away the fring.
