Not to spoil everyone's fun or anything, but it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with abuse. She might have just seen a sad film or listened to gangster rap, or anything else which could have upset her.
Add. With the title, it would seem that she had gone out the night before and intoxicated herself, and woken up feeling a bit down as one would after a night of speedballing or whatever it is that you kids get upto these days.
