Seedy little hotel room, empty expression and almost anorexic body ... b and w would emphasize the sadness in her face. I suspect I'm looking at this through different eyes.http://janpudney.net/ http://jaypea.redbubble.com/
Trust a woman on this, Florence is not anorexic and very attractive. She looks more pissed off than sad but we don't know how long she was pausing for (nor the temperature in the room!). Anyhow she is very expressive and that is what matters. I like the background a lot.
Hi,
Thanks everybody for your comments and your support on this image.
Let me give you some clues about it...
Florence is the name of the model and the shooting took place in Paris, in an artist room. You can see through the window the grey roof so common in Paris.
Florence has been posing for almost 3 hours ! This picture is one the 3 last we made. So no wonder she was tired, but I got here a true feeling anyway. Though it was quite her natural expression all the way the shooting went.
We made before some classical nudes with a white backdrop... but when I decided to use the place without the backdrop and lightings (which was all I wanted to get to from the beginning), and ask her to be just there with no specials intents, she was first surprised and then she went back in her world... and became more natural (showing her sadness) but nervertheless more at ease with the shooting which made the last serie the one I prefer.
I agree with desert pea. I think she is a bit anorexic, but a black and white effect would really put this together.

Hopstetter, I believe that it would be misinformed to say someone is a bit anorexic. That would be like saying that they have a bit of AIDS or that they are lightly leperous. This girl could not be anorexic judging by her immediately apparent (albeit low) body fat level. I think that what you might have been trying to say is that you find her unattractively thin, in which case I would be inclined to disagree. (in a friendly, mutually cheerful way, of course)

Love her expression and pose. Background is distracting. My eye keeps getting drawn to the couch cover and window. I'd rather be drawn to her (obviously...)
