This is the beach on Fire Island. The Atlantic Ocean was rather calm this day, practically like a mill pond. Fire Island is a barrier beach which protects Long Island from erosion by the ocean. I've a long way to go especially with landscapes and seascapes, but I'm working on it.
You have caught some nice light in this one Amanda,i might have had the writing a little smaller and in the border, but thats just personal taste, good shot
funny how we can all approach it so differently... I like it just the way it is.. It's beautiful. Colors, light, composition, and even a nice sky and wave in the ocean... Nice one Amanda!,beautiful light and colour, you have to use your imagination becase landscapes never look as good when they are reduced in size for posting. They look amazing when you edit them at home but posted they become non-descript!,,,its a cracking pic though ,keep it up!
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
This has a lot of potential, but it's noisy and the focus looks off. And there's too much purple, especially at the right horizon. Forget the borders and concentrate on the photograph.http://janpudney.net/ http://jaypea.redbubble.com/
Thanks Bridget, I took your advice about the text and I like it much better. Thank you. Yay, Steve! Oly_M, you actually got to see the photo after I took Bridget's advice to improve it. Thanks for the generous rating and the flattering comments. My Gallery
desertpea, you're right, I shouldn't worry about the borders especially since I spent more time picking one out than I did fiddling with the saturation. Thanks for your advice, it's much appreciated. My Gallery
