I am about to give up on the new lens. This Osprey is only about 30 or 40 meters away, I should have been able to get a closer shot than this. It's a shame too.
..would dpreview.com be any help? if you go to forums, panasonic, and do a search on keywords that would bring up your very experience ... I tried looking some stuff up for you but i don't know enough on the kind you bought. It sounded like some were more suited to the FZ than other brands .."The poetry of photography will always be more important than the mechanics of the camera..." - J-H. Lartigue
I've had a look around Amanda and your lens is = to 432mm at full stretch!,couple that with a 2x converter and you are shooting with the equivalent of 864mm!,,,thats big!,,are you doing these shots hand held?...Ken,,,,I've also read the reviews on your camera and they state it suffers greatly from noise !
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Thanks ken, and Oly_M. Oly_M, I took your advice and went to dpreview, and am following up with that avenue, and ken, I know my camera has noise, and instead of giving me twice the power I already have, it's giving me twice the noise. I am going to keep trying every thing I can, but if all else fails, I hope I can return the lens. I'll just have to save up for a real SLR. Thanks both of you for your advice. My Gallery
Don't give up on it yet.Do what i do.Yesterday i had a bird of prey in my sight and i took some lovely shots,or i thought i did, when i looked i had taken them all in macro mode, how stupid was that LOL
