certainly do have square eyes! and i do prefer this version...
good pratice i guess for next time i take a pic with a distracting backgroud (which will probably be next time i pic the camera up!)
lol!... sometimes these little annoyances just can't be helped. If only they would sit where you want them!

well that would be nice! reminds me of the time that i found a dead bug, washed it under the tap and placed it nicely on a piece of moss!!! well i had only just started taking macro shots at the time and wanted to pratise without the bug moveing! still life!
I like both but I'm not sure which one more, let me think... I don't know, it's true that in the first version the background is a bit distracting but I like the colour effects on it. Good work in both cases. AnaAna
thanks everyone!
Samantha, i duplicated the image in PSE2. desatured it the gaussion blurred it - added more blue, then put it on top of the original photo, decressed the opacity to 50% so i could see the original underneath and erased where the butterfly and flowers were. the put the opacity back up to 100% and saved as a jpeg.
I'm not sure if you are familar with layers?
Sorry Samantha PSE2 is photoshop elements 2. what programme are you using? I have a basic word doc that i wrote to help people with layers that i could send to you but it is for PSE2
