This is former marble quarry in Ruskeala, Karelia. Now it's a lake with a marble lakesides. Depending from the light's direction the water could be almost black, with a good contrast to white marble rocks, or clear with an interesting greenish hue.
Interesting place. Glad you shot it with boaters so we could see the scale. Is there something mid bottom pic under the water, or is that some sort of ghosting from the lense?--Chris
Thanks Chris. Yes, this is from lense, it was very low sun there and even hood didn't help. I cropped the image to remove even worse ghosting from the left part. In fact, there are very nice greenish marble rocks under the water there, may be I upload a picture with them soon. Alexandr.
