Good shot. Like the feel achieved with the lighting - an almost sun before the storm - and the seagull was a bonus! I think this would have been even better if the green tarp had been removed from the deckchairs.Richard Crowe Visit My Website
Well seen and well captured. I am sure we will be voting on this one for the potw and I think it's also an excellent candidate for the summer theme. Good luck. AmandaMy Gallery
Thanks all for comments and ratings.Agree about tarpaulin Richard, thankk goodness it happened to be the right colour.'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. Amanda i'm concerned, your comment has made me think i've entered the wrong photo for the 'summer' competition!'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. A great capture Jogi. I'd have removed the half a deck chair to the right or included it fully. Other than that I'd have to say that it sums up the English summer beautifully.
I agree about cropping the chair. Since this photo seems to be about light as well as the objects on display, I'd wish for the bright parts to be slightly brighter. The bird is cool, keep him around.--Chris
Thanks for comments and suggestions all, have to agree the deckchair is strating to irritate me now, i guess if it had been red and white stripes it would have disappeared very quickly but it avoided confrontation by being the right colour. thanks again.'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. I don't know, turn my back for 5 minutes and some b****r has nicked me deckchair.
