From the thumbnail I thought this was a scene of people trudging across the desert, which fit my mental impression of such places. People embracing and kissing doesn't seem to mentally fit. Also, the horizon's a bit tilted. One thing this does very well is impart a feeling of incredible dryness and heat.--Chris
