very beautiful looks so real.

Thought it looked familiar. This one needs like one half of one hundredth of a percent more contrast.--Chris

Very nice shot.

Very good indeed.

Thank you all! Looking at it now out of photoshop, I'd say it needed one half of one hundredth of a percent less contrast Chris. It was quite difficult to determine there being no absolute white in the image.

A very dramatic atmosphere to this shot, nicely converted to B&W. Good one Mark.

I'm guessing that you have done a lot of PS on the sky because there is quite a sharp edge to the castle outline. It works quite well though. Has a sort of surreal feel to it, like a scene from Lord of the Rings. Is this in Sweden?

Thanks Steve and Donmac! This is on the Danish Island of Bornholm in the Baltic sea, ironically nearer to Sweden than Denmark. Apparantly these castle ruins were once witness to many a bloody battle between these two nations trying to sieze control of the island a few hundred years back. When you see where these ruins are situated high on a rocky hilled peninsula, it's easy to imagine what a task any invaders would have had to conquer this castle (On a par with Plymouth winning the champions league I'd say ;-).
Your right I have blurred the sky a tad Donmac, to achieve a silky smoothness that I hope I've been sucessful at.Your Lord of the Rings comment I take as high praise indeed! Thanks again! :-)

Thanks Richard! That sky was in part at least inspired by your work. I think I posted a comment on one of your photos once asking how you achieved that smoothness but I lost track of which one it was so I don't know if you ever answered.
