Sadly, having been a victim of image "theft" on the web in the past, I'm quite keen to put a copyright notice on my pictures! I wish I didn't have to...
But I take your point it could be smaller perhaps. I'm sure you can ignore that bit and just judge the rest of the picture :-)
Not too worried about the figure being blurred - gives good impression of movement in the picture. However, the figure needs to be either in the frame or out of it - as it is it looks like the picture has been overcropped at the side - another half second later and the picture would be worth a couple of extra points.
Nice shot... although I think it's really the original artist who has created the visual impact for this image. I seen many shots like it on internet and they're all good.
A couple of ways you can reduce image theft is do upload your photos at a small resolution.
Or put a more transparent signature over a detailed part of the image, this makes it difficult to clone out. As it is, it would take 30 seconds to remove the signature.
I can ignore the signature and live with the lower left figure but for me the verticals need to be upright and the horizontals just that!

Left figure does take the edge off. The most worrying thing is the signature... Associate of The Royal Photographic Society. Why anyone feels the need to put this on a picture is beyond me. If i recall the RPS consists of some of the most tedious images on the planet. And I dislike the elite snobbery of it all! Sorry. Not bad but no cigar.
