The tablecloth (?) is a great background for this harvest food. A little light reflected into the bowl might make the 'maters slightly more yummy looking.--Chris
Thank you all very much indeed. I have just got a white reflector (free from a magazine), so I will be able to try that with my future shots. (Although that means I'll have to use the tripod, which is a major bore!) (Although my father has just bought a really nice Giottos one, so it might be less of a bore!)

lovely image. i'm afraid i'm not a fan of the tablecloth, i much prefer a nice simple check for example, but i'm not letting it stand in the way of my enjoyment of this pic. i like the amount of light just as it is in the bowl. great shotmy weddings website
