This is the forth shot from my collection of photographs about drug taking. In this picture my friend coming round from a bad trip after taking magic mushrooms ( Psilocybe semilanceata ).We had been at a party and he had got “the fear”. So I spent most of my time trying to console him, something which is hard to do if you are under the influence too and I began to feel the same as my friend. This shot was taken sometime in the morning when we had calmed down. Mushrooms are one of my least favourite drugs and something I am very weary of. In the right situation they can be very imaginative and hilarious, but when thing go wrong you can feel unsafe. That is how my friend and I felt when I took this photo. At the time I didn’t think about that or intend to capture it, I just took the shot. I think it reflects the emotion quite accurately. My friend here has a masters degree and is working as a cameraman, and a film runner.
