Restored house

Restored house

It was built in 1921 and has been restored very recently. It's a good example of the modernism in my city. An office of the U.N. is going to be installed there.

This is beautiful architecture, I remember seeing beautiful artwork like this while studying Spanish history. You have captured the building with a warm light that gives it an incredible glow. I think the collage is a nice idea, but I would love to see a photo of the entire building. Nice work, Ana. Smile Amanda

Thanks a lot Amanda,I appreciated very much your comment. In this case, I thought that a collage could show you the beautiful details of this building, its colourful tiles, its rounded shapes... But I will show you another one of the building. Smile Ana

I like everything about it except the blurred "arrows." Smile I'd prefer simple arrows--or, perhaps, no arrows at all.

The colors and textures are superb, and you used the ambient lighting to great effect. And I'm with Amanda: I'd love to see several separate shots of individual areas of the building. Don't toss the collage, but add some "regular" shots of this gorgeous piece of architecture.

Well done. -Brian

Thanks a lot Brian for your nice comment. I'm going to upload some images of this building.
About the blurred "arrows", you are right. The matter was that I don't like to see the collage so linear, the simple arrows could be ok, but I don't know how to do that. Smile Ana

Are you using Photoshop? If so, just use the Brush Tool and draw them by hand. -Brian

I'm learning to use PS, and thanks a lot for your help.

When someone ask me if I'm doing some kind of photography course, I always say: "Yes, in Photographyblog in internet, there are fantastic teachers".

I would like to tell you something funny with this photo. Yesterday when I received the e-mail about your comments, my husband was using the computer and I asked him to see the photo. When he realiced about the house, he asked me:

Husband: Is there some girl of our city?

Me: Of course... That's me!.

I think he was a bit surprised, he is not very interested in my hobby, till moment. Wink Ana

I have a feeling that happens a lot. I'm always very pleased when I show a photo to my wife and she says, "That's lovely. Who took that?" The look of surprise when I tell her I did is worth it. Smile -Brian

I am sorry. I love the building, but the end result is just too photoshopped for me.

I have taken the "blurred arrows", every time I see the photo I hate them a bit more. Thumbs Down! Ana
