They're a cute couple, Christopher. I like how their shirts are so much alike. I agree about the eyes. I think you should jot down a note beside your computer to look at that before posting, because it's a big challenge for me too, and I let so many go by before it became habit to look. Sorry, but I have to say I didn't really think 'painterly' from viewing this.--Chris

I can see where the background could evoke a "painting" effect, but, quite honestly, the quality of your portraits is such that you need not play those sorts of games. You have a knack for capture those "little, real moments," which make the portraits come alive. -Brian
