Nice idea - I would have tried to get more of the sun in and brought the pier down to the bottom third. Alternatively pushed the pier up and tried for more of the sun's reflection on the water.
Yes I had 3-4 different shots to choose from but found this one the best, with more sun it was too bright and took your attention away from the pier. Thank you for your comment.
