I took this picture two weeks ago, and was desapointed no see that some little drop of rain came on the lens. I went back this week with the firm intension to re-shot it without the rain. Unfotunately, the rain was worse and could not better this picture. Parts are a bit over exposed too unfortunatelly. I still like it but feel like I could have done better
Everything you said in your comments is right, except possibly the part about doing better. The totality of the work was created by a certain gathering of elements that seem to have worked to produce something greater than the sum of their parts. The pastel quality of the reflection is great, and the sky is other-worldly. The bright line of buildings in between serve as a separater of elements, and the stone carving anchors the whole thing.--Chris
Agree with Chris on this one. Not really any need to retake this as I'd say if you went back and it wasnt raining you'd be hard pushed to recreate this excellent shot. I the rain drops do detract a little but they could easily be cloned out if you wanted to. Anyway you shouldnt be wasting time trying to go back and take a better shot - you should be in the pub trying to get as much Guinness as possible! Richard Crowe Visit My Website
Looks great to me. If you are stressing about the water droplet it looks a simple clone out in photoshop. john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
