This was taken in August whilst on holiday in Tuscany with my daughter. It was taken around mid-day, hence the stark blown sky. I was about to discard the shot, but decided not to as it evokes my senses.
The farmer with the 'harvest' seemed very amused and concerned that we were wearing shorts, flip flops and no cover for our shoulders... it was in fact Sunday.
He stood and watched in wonder as I took several photos of his hens and haystacks. Quite a character...just wish I understood what he was saying to us
This was a grab shot just before he turned and disappeared over the hill.
Happy New Year to you all!

Ha ha! just had a silly thought... before anyone asks, no, I didn't stand them on Tom's light box
I like it. If you have more patience than I have you could always slide in some backdrop. john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
I'm not sure about all the empty space. I'd be tempted to crop or, as John said, drop something in there. Maybe you have another shot of the area that would be appropriate? --Chris
Hi Guys! thankyou for your interesting feedback. I kinda like the negative space... for me it gives a modern quirky feel to what would normally be a very traditional scene

Well i like the empty background,it's my kind of shot !P!.they look like British workmen though(stood still on the job with hands on hips contemplating work lol). That will create some comments no doubt .Lovely Italy i wondered when we would see some of your shots from there lets see some more please
Thank you 'B' I see what you mean about 'hands on hips'
It's taken me until now to upload all the shots I took, there are 14 files each with at least 90 - 100 images... I thought it would be nice to look at them over the winter months
I promise I won't upload them all! lol !!!
