Very striking composition, and the sky doesn't hurt it a bit. Still would wish for slightly more contrast, but this one is already almost there. --Chris
Thank you Guys!,,,,,just for you Chris a touch more contrast!,,,,,I think the problems are differences in monitors!.......doesn't look bad at my end..thanks again,,,doesn't half do my confidence the world of good!...............Ken

Good shot Ken, still wet and miserable down here in the south-west, they say its getting colder next week ..... lets hope so!! Hope all well with you .....JulieTwelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
Please, receive my support for that horrible weather. Here it's a spring-like winter, very unusual, no rain, no snow, no cold... I don't know what will happen this summer. The weather forecast for next week is that finally the cold weather is arriving, we will see...Ana
Thanks Julie,Ana andp14!........it's been a wierd sort of winter ,no hard frosts to speak of and as yet no snow!.....still time for it yet though!.....thanks again.......Ken

great shot ken. the bridge looks phenomenal. do you use ps? if so there may be a couple of things you can do about the sky.
firstly - was there any detail in sky before post processing? if so, select it out using the lasso (doesn't need to be perfect, just close) then choose the 'select' menu and click on 'feather'. enter 75 (or anything up to 150 really) pixels in the box that appears. then adjust your levels and curves etc. (i find that this brings out even the smallest detail in the clouds sometimes).
when you're done go back to 'select' menu, click on 'inverse' and then do the feather thing again. now you can adjust the rest of the picture to suit.
you maybe already know all this, but if not i hope it helps. i too was sick of washed out skies.
