A newly built chain store (okay, Target, if you must know) a couple miles from our house has these red steel balls mounted to the sidewalk outside the entrance. We had a light dusting of snow this morning, and it did something interesting to one of the red balls...
Alas, the snow, which wasn't much more than the merest breath of a dusting, was gone before noon.
