Dead Man's Hand

Dead Man's Hand

In poker, the dead man's hand is a two-pair hand, namely "aces and eights." The origin of the name, legend has it, is the five-card-draw hand held by Wild Bill Hickok at the time of his murder. He was shot dead (in the back) while playing poker in Deadwood, South Dakota.

A very well composed image.....knowing nothing about poker, your discription was very helpful.....i also like the way you have used old coins.

Thanks ever so much. The money photographed better than I thought it would. I purposely laid it about without taking care to face it all the same way, or neatly, etc. to keep it from looking 'posed.' I really only put it in the photo to cover up the picture on the cards. I really appreciate your comments and super ratings. Thanks, again. Smile!
