Standing on the beach at Captree looking over to the Fire Island Light House. There is a flock of brants in the water that was always too far away for me to shoot. I have never seen them before in my life. I found out that they live in the arctic circle normally and winter in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Since we have stopped using pesticides and polluting our beaches more and more unique wildlife are starting to appear.
Nice shot Amanda....I also love the lighthouse...It's lovely to see the wildlife Returning
to clean waters and Beaches...The same thing is happening over here. I've never seen a flock of Brants ........Jimmy.
Wonderful texture in the shore line, and beautiful light,,gorgeous colours!.....the lighthouse is an added bonus!......fantastic shot Amanda.................Ken
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Nicely balanced Amanda- you have in focus foreground interest and the lovely lighthouse with light in the background on the other side. john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
