This photo was taken on a recent trip to Tamworth in Australia. While I was sitting down for a quite coffee, this man was eating a sausage roll, among other things. My camera was resting on the table right in his direction and with a quick snap I was able to get the food entering at the perfect time with this intense look on his face.
Welcome to the Blog. As street photography goes, this one has all the earmarks of success.
As somebody who isn't thin, I'd like to point out that if we automatically assume things about fat people, we're prejudging them, probably unfairly. For all we know, this man could have just been told he's got cancer, and is worried about caring for his kids (I freely admit, however, the chances of this off the cuff possibility are slim).
I don't want to come down too hard about this, because I'd love to see some more of your work, boots. Just felt obligated. I think it takes courage to do street photography, and applaud your contribution to the discipline.
