I'm in 100% agreement with John. The composition is excellent, but the highlights are blown, which detracts from the photo. I don't know if there's any recoverable information in the image (often there isn't, when highlights are too bright), but if you have Photoshop, you could try cutting back on the exposure a little and using a gradient layer (possibly with a selection) to tone down the overbright area. -Brian

I agree with Brian on the highlights but really love the knotty and very interesting trees. Looking forward to seeing more of these trees and maybe some in B/W. D.
