Took these 2 pictures on the same day . the weather was so drab in the morning but very windy i felt a B/W rendition would be more dramatic to suit the conditions. In the afternoon however the sun provided me with the conditions i wanted for colour

Nicely composed with the ship in the distance. What happened to the pier? It was alive and well in 2001 when I was in UK and visited Brighton. john

Renovation was due to start in 2003 but the pavillion caught fire in march 2003 and has declined to its current stae ever since . Its a grade 1 listed listed structure so cannot be dismantled and i suspect the cost of renovation would now cost many more millions than the original renovation cost or 1.5million - Paul
