Maybe the focus should have been on the eye, but its still a nice shot.kenyang has properly never been excited at seeing something thats going to jump off any minute, and you loose your concentation.Its happened to me plenty photographing frogs.I like the shot.Where is the location?
Location is Redmond, Washington state. I was trying to focus on the eye, but at this magnification, focusing is tenuous and movement is greatly magnified. I thought I would get greater depth of field, but my flash was connected improperly and did not fire.
I call these shots "the one that got away". Frogs and (humming)birds et al are the most difficult. Then again, there's fish, dragonflies and on forever. Anything that moves in a natural (and unnatural environment). In appreciation of the species, I've never seen a frog with these colors! Hope he comes back to visit you again!
