I have been having a play using the manual bellows along with the Sigma105 macro lens, there is a lot of fiddling about but I think worth it in the end:)
I agree - beautiful detail. I am debating macro lens versus extension tubes and can't decide. Previously had extension tubes for film SLR. Have you any views? Viv
Thank you John:)
Viv thanks for your interest in this. As for the bellows or tubes, I have both and must admit don't use the tubes at all, although they take a lot of getting used to the bellows I find easier to work with as long as you have plenty of light on the subject whilst focusing as the sweet spot is so small with these sort of things. I bought my bellows from ebay I think they were about £20 that was all they are manual. Good luck with which ever you choose it is a challenge and all good fun::))
Regards CharlotteWhats in the bag:) Nikon D200 + Nikon 80-400 VR + Nikon 50mm 1.8 + Nikon 85mm 1.8 + Sigma 10-20 + Sigma 18-200 + Sigma 105 macro + manual bellows and an SB800 Nikon flash all well used as I can't put them down
