the bridge is made from teak. is about 100 years old and used daily. it shows some how that the myanmars have known what to do. it is necessary to mention that in the 19 century the myanmars started a industrialisation program similar to the japanese during the meiji dynasty. when the british colonialists conquered the country they destroyed all machinery, factories etc. to make sure that the myanmars cant get developed and function only as a raw material supplier. unfortunately the brits and again the brits and US americans destroyed the rest during the 2. world war and supported the chinese nationalists under chiang kai check (or so) to terrorise the country after the war, since then the country is broken.
If I would be a myanmar I would declare war to the brits. ..what do we have in irak this days ?
A fantastic photograph, nothing but praise here.Anyone that knows their history knows what the british and the americans did.Fully agree as I said on your other photo with everything you have said.
Duhbear might like to reconsider why he has given this photo a 5.Has to be either envy or perhaps he does not agree with the politics being talked about.Either way a photograph should be judged by its merit and nothing else.I understand what asasasas11 is talking about.Easy to bury your head in the sand.
I like the photograph beautifully executed.
