Thanks Viv, I was not sure if this more abstract type of bird shot would work, but I quite liked how it looked after a little cropping.

I think shots like this are very clever but I can't do them - he factual side of me takes over and then I look at other peoples shots and the careful use of softness in places like the soft down you have here and they are magnificent! Viv

Thanks again Viv, I normally take shots as I see them, but now and again I try something different like this as a way of getting to know my camera better.
