Glossy Ibises

I was looking for some deer today when I spotted this pair of glossy ibises. They were too skiddish to let me get any closer, but I thought I would post this anyway. I thought they looked lovely in their breeding plumage.

I like the reflection of the sky on the water, it kind of makes the color of the birds standout... lovely composition...

You have done well to get this close Amanda. We have had them in Braeside Park for a few days as well and they are just as nervous and I did not manage to get as close as you before they decamped. john
