Lanuza is situated at 1284 m. over the sea in the Pyrenees, near France.
The village was expropiated to build the reservoir. In 1978 the last residents abandoned the village. The water inundated some of the houses and during many years the village was abandaoned and plundered.
Today thanks to a group of people interested in recover it, the village has been rebuilt.
During the summer in July there is a Festival called "Pirineos Sur". The scenary is floating in the water near the shore. It's very nice.
