Focus is slightly off, if the point of focus had been on the eyes most of the head may have been sharp, unfortunately the main point of focus appears to be the snout.
I´ve seen lots of pictures worst than this one with better rating Badger, at the moment I took it I had no time to change to manual focus or change aperture, I considered better to show the dog´s expression first to avoid loosing it. But thanks anyway.
alex, I too have seen many pictures worse than this with better ratings, just shows that the ratings around here are rubbish and not to be taken seriously. badger
