Newquay

I've been grounded for the weekend due to the threat of more floods in Sheffield, so thought it about time I sorted out my holiday photo's from the Spring Bank. This is the view from just below the Great Western hotel in Newquay.

Love this area of the country! You have captured the area to perfection.

Beautifully lit! (The sun catching the cliffs makes me yearn for sun!) Hope that the flood threat is no more than that and the levels keep going down. Viv

Thank you Local and Viv, I love this part of the country, but sadly it is too far away to visit on a regular basis ;(

I hope so too Viv, we've been cut off from several surrounding areas since last Monday Sad Thankfully the flooding hasn't caused too many problems for me as I live at the top of a very steep hill, but for those who live in and near to the flooding it has been devastating. Hopefully the rainfall won't add to the misery many people are already suffering. Thank you for your concerns.

Thanks Ken... It truly is a wonderful part of the country and of course meeting up with the Barnard's makes it extra special too Wink

It is also my intention too to visit again before the year is out Smile

Perfect timing. Very nice. The white house on the extreme right could be cloned out, or even moved further into the picture.

Thank you Tophee, B and mald for your comments... I couldn't decide whether to take the houses out and so left them ... because that's where they are Smile

I like the touch of green here and there.......the way the cliffs are trying to hold on to the suns last light and the clouds saying hello to the night on the right. The kind of place you can think without all the noise from your thoughts. Beautiful! Maggi
