I have just darkened the sky a little to bring it down to what my eye saw! This is a day of thundery showers. And yes - I live in a modernised Irish Cottage!
A great image Viv!.......I think it would be even better withhalf the sky cropped off...just my taste you understand..............great shot and a fantastic little cottage....do you a swap?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Ken
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Thanks Ken - Lol! - it has the odd disadavantage or two to it but it has been a bit different over the years. (It's actually two cottages conevrted). You could be right about the sky but it was actually the storm clouds I was trying to get and short of climbing on the roof I could not get a better view westwards - my short little legs!!! With imminent lightning I was not rushing!!! Viv
How charming Viv, I'm with Ken, I'm thinking we should house swap for a week or two! Maggi
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
Thank you very much Maggi and John. But I think you lot would get the poorer bargain out of a house swap! It is old (about 170 years old) but quite small even with 2 cottages combined! But I like it as it is down a lane surrounded by fields and an abandoned railway line. So lots of wildlife and bugs! Viv
I like the way the slope to the door is up. Should it ever rain a lot (stops to pop tongue back in cheek) you will not have water running in. john
PS
I agree with the Lord of the flies on the sky. We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
Beautiful shot Viv, great detail and dof, love the sky. You have a lovely home and I am so envious. My wife would chop off MY right arm to have a cottage like that

Thank you very much Local and Nigel. Lol, Nigel at your comment! There have been one or two cons to it over the years - including the loss of power every bad winter gale, the cows that escape across the grass when it is at it's wettest (must be due an escaped herd now!!) Viv
I like it, but would crop just a little off the cloud. Add me to the list for house swapping. It looks and sounds lovely and I've yet to visit Ireland.
