Thank you all very much! Jass this is a Cormorant and they only look ugly (and I agree they look a bit daft!) out of the water - on it or under it they are superbly designed to be marine vacumn cleaners - expert fishers. John I just thought when we head off cruising we don't have a garden - would the sea count?!!!!! Viv
