Taken on my K1000 with a 50 mm 1/1.7 lens with a +2x magnification macro filter ring attachment (hoya). I always look forward to these blooming every year near my lamp post.
Nice colour and detail Mike, compostion/position of the actual flower head could be improved. I don't know if you have Adobe Photoshop, but just a touch of Gaussin Blur used on the background may work well. Nice shot though Mike.

Thanks.. I tend to stay away from photoshop, partly because i don't have the time, and partly because i tend to like to see what i get from the film, and leave it that way. (though i imagine getting it scanned adds the un-natural element already..)
