This Lighthouse stands on a Rock Angus in the middle of the entrance to Strangford Lough. It was built in the 1800s but was not lit (until 1984!) as Belfast Harbour Commisioners wanted to stop Strangford Lough from usurping their trade! Before it was lit the entrance was quite hairy as the tide runs at 8 knots - we had several scarey close night time encounters.
The Frank Sinatra Mourne mountains Viv? ( You can ask your parents if you do not know who is). My father was a great fan and I have a cassette of Sinatra singing that in one of the boxes somewhere. Thanks for posting it now I know they are real. Nice composition. john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
