In a dimly lit village hall and not wanting to use flash shoved iso upto 1600 and opened up the aperature, was abit apprehensive ie. was expecting it to be far too noisy , but like end result.

Yes, its lovely! The grain does not have to be a negative thing, and it does not necessarily distract, sometimes adds a little softness which is quite attractive. Because I don't have aperture priority on my little F10 (a real pain! but have to make do!!) I quite often change the iso in order to alter the focal distance, one of the great aspects of digital photography is being able to alter the iso! JennyVisit My Art Prints Website
