Wow. Lovely shot. Well done - you are definitely getting to grips with this. Might need a tiny tad more DOF to get a little further along the thorax. Lovely composition and aspect. What lens are you using? Viv

Sold my film scanner and bought a 150mm Sigma Macro lens. It's a bit heavy. Also have a Teleplus 2x converter but am finding it needs so much light with it and the quality isn't so good.

Thanks Paul. I am still using my "tubes", which are very light which I think is useful. Still keep thinking of a macro lens but that is interesting that the Sigma is heavy. Viv

Well done Paul, your getting Better, Iv'e also got a 150 sigma, It's also a very good
General Purpose Lens, good for sports and wild Life as it's a 2/8, good for low Light
shots. Iv'e also got a 2x converter, i find It's a waste of space the drop of in quality is to much. Ken is spot on about the tripod.. Keep up the good work.....Jimmy

This is great Paul.....If you think the 150 Sigma is heavy you should try the 50-500mm...
Should you consider the cameragearmobile let me know and I can send you the details of my modified golf cart... john

That's a lot to pack!... Lovely shot Paul! Nice color! Smile Daenna,...We had a 2x converter and was having the same problem so we took it back to the store. Maybe I should have worked with it more but just got fed up with it.

Thanks Daenna..., I think it's pretty standard that you have to use manual focus with a converter unless it's a very high quality lens and then it still seems to struggle to focus
