Thanks all for your kind comments ...now here is how they were lit....by natural sunlight however there was only one shaft of sunlight coming through the trees and I had to climb down/fall into a narrow gully to get below these fellas then I had to stand in a stream with water coming into my boots ( you know gortex is only waterproof up to the top of the boot LOL ) . If you ask Bridget she has photos of me getting down to these fungi, they might be a bit shakey though as all I could here when I was falling was a nikon shutter release and laughter Harvey

Super lighting Harvey! Looks like you had quite a time in getting this shot. Hope your boots dried out, nothing worse than the feeling of soggy cold feet when out on a shoot. Lovely shot nice illumination on these critters! Daenna
