Thanks Deanna! I am taking classes over here in Wyo. Didn't enjoy math and engineering, so switched majors to photographic communications and this is the school I ended up in! How did the ISU campus look? Haven't been there for a year now. I do miss the campus town there... things are actually open past 9pm and theres a lot to do. -- Tim

The campus looked great. We stopped by this summer to photograph the Union Pacific 844 Steam Train that came for a showing, near the Scenic Valley Railroad Museum in Boone. They did a 16-day journey called the, "Corn Belt Rocket Tour,"...LOL! So since we were close to Ames, we goofed around the campus a bit, and got a bite to eat at Hickory Park. Hope you had a chance to eat there the BBQ is great, it was also great at Battles BBQ, but don't think Battles is open any more. He he,...that's me always thinking about food, don't know how I stay so skinny...LOL!

I think you're going to enjoy photographic communications you already have a leg up on most people with your talent!!!! Wyoming would be the place to be for those landscape shots. Hope you will be carefull of the wildlife there. I watched a show about wolves in Wyoming last night that was a little unnerving. Will you go into news photography favorite––National Geographic. They had a pretty good photography program at ISU back in '77..."that dates me". I took a summer two week study course there when I was a jr. in highschool. Back before digital!

I've been up near the border of Wyoming and Colorado in late November, around Thanksgiving on my way to visit relatives, gets bleep'n cold up there. Hope you're prepared for the Alberta Clippers! Smile Daenna

That sounds like so much fun! I did get to eat at Hickory Park a couple of time when I was out there. The food was so good and there were so many people eating there too.

Right now I'm really interested in Photo J. Been working for the school's newspaper, the Northwest Trail, and starting next semester I'll be doing an internship over in Cody doing archival work for the national forest. National Geographic would be a dream come true, but it is the most coveted job in photography at the moment.

The weather here isn't that bad actually. It is very similar to the front range in Colorado... not much snow, but freaking cold. Powell is way up north in this state, only 30 minutes from the Montana border and about 80 miles from the East Gate of Yellowstone.

How is Iowa these days? Haven't been back there for almost a year now. Might make a trip across the country with a stop in Ames over Winter break. --Tim

Sorry just now catching up!...LOL! Freakin' cold here too, these days just had an ice storm Sat. and Sunday most has melted but for the sidewalks. Wow sounds like a great and interesting internship, Tim! Working for the papers going to be super, gets one out and about...ahhh the good old days working on the paper,...I remember that well! Stay warm you're pretty far north. Lot of weather been going through your way these days!!! Smile Daenna
