I'm not sure about this image... on 1 hand it's interesting, on the other; the background looks blurred & over rides the rest.
But then, that's personal tastes.

I like this. The composition is good, with a good ditinction between foreground and background. The composition is pleasing and the thing (sorry. my english is faulting me. How do you call it, a padle?) giving ot an awkward twist, which is welcomed.
Interesting, to say the least! I the oar is a strange addition (especially as there's no boat!) and it would be nice to have the right gate partially closed.
